After concluding a degree in Chemistry, he attended, simultaneously, The Conservatório Nacional (Arts School) and the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa (Universaty of Fine Arts in Lisbon).
In 1977 he began to grow fond of Astrology and from 1978 he has participated in several music, theatre and movie shows, as painter and set designer: Satie I, Satie II, Eric Satie - Picasso, Stravinsky, O Bobo da Corte e Boa Nova. As a painter, he presented until now, around 30 individual exhibitions and 40 collective exhibitions.
In Astrology, he has produced until now around 18.500 astrological studies, and he is considered to be the most prestigious Portuguese astrologist.
Since 1978 Paulo Cardoso has been publishing His work in newspapers and magazines in Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium, and has also colaborated with statements and interviews destinated to documentarys for portuguese tv channels (RTP/1, Canal 2, SIC, SIC Mulher e TVI), Brazilians (TV Globo, GNT, TV Cultura, TV Bandeirantes e TV Gazeta), british (BBC) and german. He has done dozens of lectures, both in Portugal and abroad.
With the support od the portuguese Foreing Ministery, (..) of the Secretaria de Estado da Cultura, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the (..) Pelouro da Cultura da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, he conducted na investigation and it’s subsequent promotion of the astrological work of the poet Fernando Pessoa.
He contributes regularly with 12 media organs, with a total of around 3,6 million readers.
